He is a veteran opera singer, having sung at the Metropolitan Opera Company and around the world.
Even if you are not into opera or classical music, some LDS church members may have heard Stanford Olsen sing before. He was a performer at President Gordon B. Hinckley's 90th Birthday Celebration, see Article (scroll down) in Ensign Sep, 2000. He also performed for President Hinckley's 95th birthday music event A Celebration of Life at the Conference Center. He recently was seen on PBS in a Great Performances presentation of Candide  .
